Regional Aquaculture Conference “Blue Growth in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea: developing sustainable aquaculture for food security”
The Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU, together with the GFCM of the FAO and in cooperation with the European Commission, is pleased to confirm that the Regional Aquaculture Conference “Blue Growth in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea: developing sustainable aquaculture for food security” will be held in Bari, Italy, from 9 to 11 December 2014.
The main objective of this event is to take stock of the progress made by aquaculture in the region and to address the main economic, social and environmental challenges for its sustainable development.
The event will host four panels of experts addressing the most salient issues of the aquaculture sector on 9 and 10 December and a high-level conference on 11 December. The working languages will be English and French; Italian interpretation is also foreseen for the high-level conference.
